Photoshop

Photoshop can be used as a tool to enhance drawings, paintings and other flat art work.

This is a very quick sketch, not mine, which had a badly drawn eye and the paper had been folded across the mouth. I repositioned the eye, fixed the mouth and replaced new paper behind the drawing.

Not a lot of work on Photoshop. I had a good composition, but an eye catching white, bald sky so what should I do? I could do what I usually do and put some clouds in or leave alone.
No, as the sky was totally burnt-out it was easy to select it and to send it to dark grey. The figures were almost silhouettes against the sky, so on a separate adjustment curves layer, I lightened and increased the contrast bringing out the natural colour of the reflection of buildings from the metal.

This is a reuse of someone else’s work. My interpretation is that the viewer is the woman with her back to us.
We see the city though her eyes. The man is unaware of her presence.
This is a man about town, a Man of the City.
